Oklahoma Mesonet Site

Hi, my name is Emily Gregory. I was on the Honor Roll this semester. I'm in 4-H. I chose this project last year while I was studying the Mesonet station.

I chose this project because I like to build things. A girl in the 6th grade did one last year and I thought that I would like to do a tower. I had to gather supplies. I spent a lot of time thinking about what I needed to build the site. Some things I tried did not work so I had to think of a new way to make it. It took me about 30 hours to complete my Mesonet site.

I learned that building a Mesonet site takes a lot more time than I ever imagined. My whole family helped at times. Especially holding the tower while I put it together. Thanks Mom, Dad, and Kate. I would also like to thank our friend, Ann Worthington, for loaning me her Dremel tool and for taking us up to the site several times.

I wouldn't want to build another site because it takes so much time, but I might like to do a project using the Mesonet system.
