The Oklahoma Climatological Survey has been offering summer teacher workshops since 1992. OCS realized that many teachers had not taken earth science classes during their college years. However, many elementary and middle school curriculums include a weather unit and high school physics and chemistry classes deal with concepts like phase change, heat transfer, etc. Without a knowledge base in earth science to draw from teaching weather was a challenge. Our workshops are a mechanism for teachers to build that knowledge base in the atmospheric realm of earth sciences.

Below you will find a list of upcoming teacher workshops offered or co-sponsored by the Oklahoma Climatological Survey.
